Contingency Relief Funds
With the adoption of the annual budget, each Council Office receives allocated funds at the beginning of every fiscal year, starting on July 1st. These funds serve to support community projects and address critical needs within County agencies that were not originally allocated in the operating budget. It's important to note that Contingency Relief Funds may only be utilized for public purposes. Any disbursements to non-profit organizations must demonstrate clear benefits to the residents of Hawaiʻi County and align with services pertinent to the county.
