On Thursday, Aug. 10, 2023, our office convened nearly 60 stakeholders from community, local business, law enforcement, nonprofit organizations, and County and State officials for the inaugural Pāhoa Public Safety Partnership Crime Prevention Summit at the Billy Kenoi District Park Gym.

The goal of the summit was to foster synergy and collaboration among stakeholders across four key areas: trespassing enforcement, youth engagement, utilizing the built environment as a crime deterrent, and enhancing mental health support resources.

Participants engaged in meaningful dialogue, sharing insights, successes, and challenges, forging a commitment to coordinated action.

This Action Report encapsulates key recommendations for stakeholders to pursue, translating our shared vision for a safer Pāhoa into actionable steps that will improve our community.
