Kūka‘i combines ‘āina and cultural experiences with art, design, AI, and tech tools to weave a tapestry of Puna mo‘olelo, mele, oli, and ‘ōlelo no'eau. Through this pioneering experiential learning weekend, participants, known as Kūkaʻi Creators, were empowered with skills and knowledge to bring historical and contemporary stories, songs, chants, and wisdom to visual life in a hybrid frontier.

This collaborative initiative is a partnership between Revitalize Puna and Purple Mai‘a. Launched in August 2023, it provided a dynamic environment for design-thinking and innovation, inspiring creators to explore the intersections of tradition and technology while tackling challenges at the forefront of content creation and the digital frontier.
